The South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) and EE Publishers are pleased to announce a joint collaboration for co-hosting the SA Energy Storage, Smart Grid & SSEG 2018 conference and exhibition in 2018, which has been expanded to include a dedicated concurrent SSEG Seminar on the regulations, standards, technology and business opportunities in SSEG (Small-Scale Embedded Generation) in Africa.
The concurrent SSEG Seminar will take place from 08h30 to 17h00 at Emperors Palace on Tuesday 23 October 2018 , as an integral part of SA Energy Storage 2018, SSEG & Smart Grid 2018, and there is no additional cost for delegates attending the concurrent SSEG Seminar at the SA Energy Storage, SSEG & Smart Grid 2018 conference and exhibition.
All delegates attending the SSEG Seminar will need to register as full delegates for the two-day SA Energy Storage, SSEG & Smart Grid conference and exhibition.
The concurrent SSEG Seminar will cover the regulatory, standards, quality assurance and certification requirements for SSEG in South Africa, including the relevant NERSA, SABS, NRS and SANS 10142-3 technical, installation and safety standards and regulations for SSEG in industrial, commercial and domestic installations.
In addition, the concurrent SSEG Seminar will cover the range of technologies involved in the above SSEG installations, including rooftop solar PV, energy storage, inverters, dead-grid safety locks, control and monitoring, and mechanical considerations.
The concurrent SSEG Seminar will also consider the business case, financing options, electricity tariff implications, and practical real-life case studies of SSEG and micro-grid installations in South Africa and abroad, including building owner requirements and experiences.
